With sustainability in focus

Great Events Catering XPO AB supplies catering services for the venue Scandinavian XPO under the name Forest & Cloud. We are part of a privately owned restaurant group. All our operations have been certified in accordance with KRAV and/or the Nordic Swan Ecolabel since 2008. As a new venture, work is ongoing to attain certification for Great Events Catering XPO too. In all our procedures and processes, we operate as though we were already KRAV-certified. This means that we purchase KRAV-labelled and organic ingredients, consider how these are transported to us, and sort our waste, etc.

We prepare food from scratch using fantastic natural ingredients, often produced locally or at least within Sweden, with no unnecessary additives, to ensure that everything always tastes its best. Our suppliers are carefully selected and, like us, care about the environment and nature. As far as possible, we bake, make our own stocks and produce dishes from scratch to be able to offer our guests flavoursome, beautiful and energy-packed meals. We have adopted a long-term, sustainable approach that incorporates social, economic and environmental factors.

Driving force for sustainability

The restaurant group that we belong to is a member of the Sustainable Restaurants Network, which promotes and supports restaurants engaged in sustainability work. Our CEO Maria Stridh has long been a driving force at the organisation and won its ‘Årets Hållbara Eldsjäl’ award in 2018 for her outstanding contribution to promoting sustainability, with the jury concluding: “All restaurants in the chain actively focus on sustainability issues and have been awarded either the Nordic Swan Ecolabel or KRAV certification.”  

Maria would like all divisions of the group to be fully transparent to clients and regards sustainability as a journey where you are open about how far you have come on that journey. As the first restaurateur to join the network, she has devoted time, money and energy to helping the Sustainable Restaurants Network to grow and evolve. Without Maria, the network would never have taken off.
